Scout advancement is broken down into two main categories:

• Rank Advancement

• Merit Badges

There are also non-advancement related Awards.

Merit Badges

Awards

There are many awards available for Scouts to earn. While they do not directly contribute to a Scout's advancement, they can be very important to the growth of the Scout.
